We rescued Fiona in March 2022. She was dumped at a the kill pen with a completely ruptured flexor tendon on her left hind leg. She spent 3 months at our vet getting treated for a horrible case of strangles & also getting continual orthopedic showings with radiographs & ultrasounds. It'll take nearly a year from the start of her treatment to see how well she healed and how improved the integrity of her tendon is. She will likely never be a riding horse, however she is one of the kindest & sweetest mares we have.
We rescued Ralph in February of 2022. He came from the Amish & was worked while his eye was painfully being eaten away by cancer. After surgery & chemo treatments he has healed wonderfully! He has experienced a fair bit of trauma. He would flinch every time you touched him when we got him. We haven't asked much of Ralph & currently we are just letting him spend some time being a horse with positive, happy human interactions! He will begin training as a riding horse when he is ready & will then be for adoption after he is trained!
Jack & Diane are ex Amish work horses that were dumped to auction in horrific condition. We rescued them in June 2022 & they have been at our vets rehabilitation center recovering. Diane has endured severe trauma. We believe she is pregnant & she is being worked with daily so that we can get an ultrasound machine around her safely. Jack is an absolute gentleman. Both are seniors & will be getting the retirement they deserve!
