Forever Freedom Reins Equine Rescue Corp is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization based out of Spring, Texas.
We rescues dozens of horses each year from owner surrenders to auction horses headed to slaughter. While we will rescue any horse in need, we focus on major medical & hospice cases that would likely be euthanized elsewhere.
Although we don't bail & rescue in large numbers, we rescue with exceptional quality. Our horses are either under our vets care or our own at all times. Our team consists of myself and Kelly & Cheney who volunteer day in & day out for these horses. We know each horse inside & out from health issues to their personalities. During our horses rehabilitation this rescue is home. It's not a small pen or stall of waiting to be adopted, its not unpredictability or unfamiliar handlers. It is stability, it is acres of pasture, it is clean bedded stalls, friendships, and happiness. We truly believe these horses need time to heal just as humans do with trauma. They are allowed to be horses here & truly recover in a calm, loving environment without being rushed to riding or training. When you donate or support our rescue - you will see the entire recovery of each & every horse!

Saving horses from auction can cost anywhere from $75-$700! We pull as many each year as we have funding for.
After rescue our horses are immediately taken to & evaluated by our amazing equine vet. The horses stay for a quarantine period & get every health issues addressed from respiratory illness from the auction pens to radiographs, CT & surgeries.
Our horses are rehabilitated for any health issues as well as behavioral issues prior to being listed for adoption. Most behavioral issues disappear after a few months of just letting them be a horse along with continual positive interactions from us while we care for them.
We are ALWAYS running through hundreds of dollars of supplies a month. From hay to feed to supplies like fly spray, treats, etc. All our babies are spoiled rotten before they find their forever homes!
Due to health, age or behavioral issues, some horses stay with us for the remainder of their lives. Not only do we adopt horses out, but we provide sanctuary to those who are not good candidates to be rehomed.
